Ster # 6 en een AFFO

Dit is ster nummer 6 van onze sterren BOM,  ditmaal een leuke kleine vrolijke ster, het sterblok zelf is 20 x 20cm.
We zijn nu alweer halverwege, nog 5 sterren te gaan.

This is star number 6 of our Star BOM, this time a little fun and bright star, the actual star block measures 20 x 20 cm.
We are already half way, only 5 more stars to do.
























Ik had me plechtig voorgenomen om dit jaar ook eens wat UFO's om te zetten in zogenaamde AFFO's.
En dit is er een, dit mini quiltje heb ik afgelopen Pinkster weekend (eindelijk) afgemaakt:

It was my goal for this year to finish some of the (many) UFO's, here is one I finished last weekend:

Hij is met de machine doorgequilt, paar lusjes aan de achterkant om op te hangen..en klaar is 'ie

I quilted it by machine, and added some loops on the back.. and another one done
 



Maar behalve UFO's doe ik tussendoor natuurlijk ook nog andere dingen zoals de sterren quilt, en ook mijn Dear Jane ligt nog geduldig te wachten,  maar is het dan een UFO of is het een WIP?!?..hahaha..LOL

But in between some of the UFO's,  I'm also working on other things such as the star quilt, my Dear Jane is currently waiting patiently, but does that mean it is a UFO or is it a WIP (work in progress)?!?..hahaha..LOL

Mijn huidige baan is helaas gestopt en als dank voor mijn inzet heb ik een hele mooie kadobon gekregen die ik kan besteden bij de quiltwinkel.. en die gaan we natuurlijk heel snel opmaken gebruiken!

My current job unfortunately has finished and as a thank you I received a gift voucher which I can spent at my local quiltshop..which of course will be used asap! :-)

What a nice surprise..!

Just saw here that my blog is chosen for the "Blog van de week"  (Blog of the week) on the Quiltersgilde Blog
I didn't see it at first, I thought that block looks familiar! I have one just like it...Hang on a minute..it is mine!...DUH!! Hhahaha...:)))

Yesterday I posted that I might make a Christmas quilt, today I found this old UFO in the box on top of the cupboard..

It's not exactly a Cristmas quilt...but it is certainly a winter quilt!
It is a pattern from an old Quiltmania, I've slightly adjusted the little boys and girls, because I thought they didn't look quite right.
It is now sandwiched, basted and ready to quilt.
It has been a while since I have done some hand quilting but I'm going to attempt it tonight..
When it has been quilted I will need to put some details in the pictures, it is missing some skis and some general lines to stop them from floating in the air.
